“How have the mighty fallen and the weapons of war perished”

“How have the mighty fallen and the weapons of war perished” (2 Samuel 1:27). Toa-o-Samoa, you have paid the ultimate sacrifice for your noble service in the defense of freedom. The Republic of Korea Samoa Association (ROKSA) offers condolence and sympathy to the families, children and the people of Samoa for their loss. Toa o Samoa's sacrifices can be best described in Jesus’ teaching; ‘Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.’ (John 15:13)

ROKSA asks that we keep their memories alive in our hearts and never forget their sacrifices for the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. Because reality is, Samoa, you will never see their face or hear their voice in this life.

Toa-o-Samoa’s sacrifice is our loss and though our hearts are filled with sorrow, may they also be filled with pride for their fighting spirit, because their memories can never be taken from anyone of us who knew or loved them.

Beyond their death, is a message of love and sacrifice for others, when the Good Lord calls upon them. Therefore, let this message of love and sacrifice be a remembrance to all of us that Toa-o-Samoa paid the ultimate sacrifice so the rest of world will be free.

ROKSA honors Samoa's fallen heroes for their ultimate sacrifice paid in the name of freedom. May God continue to keep His hands over your families and fill your homes with endless blessings.
